Approval process by setting the Reviewer and Client

Approval process by setting the Reviewer and Client

This step-by-step guide shows you the approval process by setting a reviewer and a client.

Info
You need to have a TAX submission to set these steps. See more here on how to create a TAX submission.

1) There is an approval process and you can fill in the details in the Process section. The preparer is usually the user generating the report, the reviewer is a second user verifying the tax return.

2) The client would be the company you are generating this report for.

3) The Reviewer and Client fields are optional. Once you set them you can click on Set as awaiting approval button and the reviewer will receive an email notification about this.

4) The reviewer will have access to verify the report and after they can set the status whether this report is approved or not. Once the needed checks are done they can either click on the Approve button or click the 3 dots to select Set as not approved.

5) If this is approved, you can then send this to the client for approval. If no client approval is needed and the report has been submitted, you can choose the mark as submitted with authorities option from the 3 dots.

6) When sending this to the client for approval, you get a window on the right-hand side to enter a Subject and a Note.

7) Automatically a copy of the final version of the VAT return will be sent to the preparer and the reviewer when sending it to the client. You can remove these options before Sending the note to the client.

8) Once the client approves the report, you can Lock the report as approved. No further changes can be done to the report beyond this point.

9) generate.TAX does not directly submit values to the tax authorities. Instead, you will need to manually input these values on the respective online portal. To simplify this process, hover over the values in generate.TAX, use the Copy button, and then paste the data into the corresponding fields of the online VAT return form.

10) Once the vales have been copied and the return has been submitted, you need to click on the Submitted with authorities button so this won't show as pending on your portal.
