The Returns page has been redesigned to give you more flexible ways to view and manage your tax returns. You can switch between a traditional list, a visual board layout or a calendar view—depending on what works best for your workflow. With powerful filtering options and the ability to save custom views, the Returns page becomes a more personalized and efficient workspace.
This article will walk you through each of these features step by step.
1. List View shows returns in a table format.
Use it to:
View detailed information across multiple returns
Sort by different columns
Scan large volumes quickly
2. Board View displays returns in a Kanban-style layout grouped by status which is great for managing workflows and spotting bottlenecks.
Use it to:
See where each return sits in the workflow
Move through statuses from “Not Started” to “Submitted”
Open returns by clicking on cards
You can:
Choose which statuses to display
Reorder columns
Hide statuses you don’t need
3. Calendar View shows returns based on their due dates. You can easily navigate between dates, and quickly spot upcoming due returns.
Use it to:
See upcoming deadlines
Identify busy periods
Plan and prioritize work
Switch between:
Month view
Week view
Day view
Use filters to narrow down the returns you see. You can filter by status, due date, return type, entity, provider, assigned users, submission date and more. Combine multiple filters to create very specific views (for example, returns due this month and assigned to a specific user).
To add or manage filters, simply click the “+” icon next to the filter options
Saved Views let you save a set of filters and apply them with one click, so you do not have to recreate the same setup each time.
Two default views are included:
My Open Returns – Open returns where you’re the preparer, reviewer or client.
Due This Month – Returns due in the current month
You can create additional custom views (for example, “Awaiting My Review” or “Overdue Returns”).
To create one:
1. Set your filters (refer to Customizable Filters above)
2. Click Save View
3. Name your view
Your saved views appear in the dropdown, and the system remembers the last view you used.
