VAT Checker for your entity

Activate your VAT Checker entity

1) Click on the VAT Checker option.

In this section you'll find all activated entities as well as any qualified entities. If this is your first time using the feature, only the qualified entities from your connected entities will be displayed.

2) Click on the Activate button next to the entity you would like to connect. The entity will automatically appear in the activated entities.



3) Click on the green arrow  next to the entity to see more information.



Idea
Success! You have activated your VAT Checker entity.

Available actions for contacts 


1) Once you see the list of customers and suppliers, you can click on these 3 dots next to each customer/supplier.


2) You will get a list of options were you can check whether there is the correct VAT number for this contact.


3) You can Refresh the Contact data for any changes done within the entity.


4) You can click the History Log to check all actions done on this customer.


4.1) You can also Download the history Log in Excel.


5) You can click on View Contact to see the details for this particular contact, where you can also check the VAT and refresh the contact data.



How to use the filter system for VAT Checker

1) You can click on the big boxes on top to filter.


2) You can also use the drop-down options to filter different data.


3) Always click on Clear Filters to revert to the original view.


How to see and edit Contact details

1) Click on the arrow of an activated entity.


2) You will see the list of contacts for your entity and you can click on any contact name.


3) This will open the contact details where you can Check whether the VAT details are correct.


4) If data has been updated on the entity, you can Refresh data so you have the latest contact data showing. You can see the History Log on the right-hand side with timeframes when a contact was refreshed.


How to edit data directly on Xero

1) You can edit a contact details on Xero from generate.TAX directly just by clicking on the Xero icon next to the contact.


2) You will then need to Log In to Xero to continue.





Hide and Export Customers & Suppliers


1) Select the entity and click on the green arrow to see the list of Customers and Suppliers.

The Hide Selected button activates when you select a Customer or Supplier from the list.

2) You can select multiple individual entries separately.


3) Then click on Hide selected to exclude them from the daily validation checks.


4) You can click the tick box on the top to select all the entries at once.


5) Then click Export list to get the selected entries in an Excel file.
