Add a Xero organisation to your account

This is a guide that provides a step-by-step process for connecting a new organization, and re-connecting an organisation.

Step by step guide:

1) Click on the New Entity on any screen within generate.TAX.



2) Navigate to the generate.TAX login page.

3) Choose the Xero button.



4) Login to your Xero account.



5) Select the Xero organisations you wish to connect - you may add organisatioons in bulk by selecting multiple organisations.



6) Click the Allow access to authorise generate.TAX to access the selected entities.



7) To view the connected entities, navigate to the Entities page.




Warning
You cannot add the same Xero organisation to different generate.TAX accounts – you will need to add the organisation to your generate.TAX account and then share this with your users within generate.TAX. This is a security limitation of the Xero’s API.

8) To reconnect an organisation (the organisation in the drop-down will be greyed out and cannot be selected), click on the Continue with organisations button.
